What is a Green Card? A Green Card or a Permanent Resident Card allows you to live and work permanently in the United States.

How to apply for a Green Card? Before starting the application process, there are two questions that you should answer first: 1- Are you eligible to apply? The eligibility requirements may vary depending on the immigrant category you are applying under. Go to  https://www.uscis.gov/greencard/eligibility-categories for details; 2- Are you inside or outside the United States? If you are in the United States, the Adjustment of status will be the application process to use, only if you qualify. If you are outside the United States, the application process to use is Consular processing with the U.S. Department of State.

What is the process to obtain a green card for a relative? The steps you must take to apply for a green Card will vary depending on each individual situation. However in general you must file an immigrant petition for your family member. After USCIS approves the petition, and there is a visa available, your relative file either a Green Card Application with USCIS or a Visa

What documentation is required to start the process? Most people who apply for a green card will need to complete at least two forms-an immigrant petition and a green card application. Click this link to find the most common forms:  https://www.uscis.gov/greencard/adjustment-of-status

How much it will cost? It all depends on the circumstances, but in general a family petition for a family member outside United States cost $535.00.

How can I renew my Green Card? Permanent residents can renew their card  online or by mail. For removal of conditions, the process can be filed via mail only.
